MESA VERDE NATIONAL PARK

 

Not a very interesting park in terms of landscape features or plant life (and much of that was dead due to frequent lightning-started fires in the park), the park contains numerous, extensive, and fairly well preserved cliff dwellings. We went into Crystal Palace (one of the largest) on a tour, well worth doing (and surprisingly easy, in terms of climbing…).
