Hoya is good/cheap; Nikkor and others are also good;

avoid "no-name" and Tiffen... BTW, I recommend Hoya

single-coated, not multicoated - the MC are too hard

to clean, and the MC is not necessary on a single

filter...

Probably, but why bother - good UV filters are

essentially colorless, and the same price (though

the strongest can have a slightly yellow color...).
